About Streptavidin Magnetic Microspheres
These superparamagnetic microspheres are approximately 1 μm, a monolayer of recombinant streptavidin is covalently coupled to the surface to ensure that the vast majority of biotin binding sites can bind not only free biotin but also biotinylated ligands/targets, and ensure consistency and reproducibility of results. Its specific and defined surface can achieve efficient capture, separation and downstream processing. Streptavidin magnetic microspheres have a large surface area, high capacity, and superparamagnetism. They can be tailored for automation solutions that require high throughput. The products have high standards in reproducibility (within and between batches) and automation operations, making your results reliable.
Application
Streptavidin-coupled immunomagnetic beads have been used and cited in a variety of applications. For example, direct/indirect separation and downstream processing of nucleic acids, proteins/peptides, and other target molecules. They are very suitable for sequence-specific DNA/RNA capture in nucleic acid-based diagnostics, especially samples with high chaotropic salt concentrations, immunodetection involving biotinylated small antigens, and applications incompatible with BSA (magnetic beads are not blocked with BSA). They can be easily and flexibly adjusted for automated processes.
